Beautiful-words-sign

See everyone as the same kind. Do not ‘unkind’ anyone.” Mostly just be kind. “Even those who are not kind to me?” “Especially those. See them as the brilliant imaginal cells they might be."

“Go inside your own mind and listen. You might hear something like–‘Love green… Love your neighbor… Wash your clothes in cold water… Read something beautiful… Drive less, walk more… Do not live in fear, choose love even when you’re afraid… Take your own bags to the grocery store… Do unto others as you would have them do to you… Turn out the lights when you leave a room… Be silent for part of the day… Listen to nature… Eat much more from plants than from animals… Love your enemies… Feed the hungry…Find the gift you came to give this world and give it confidently… Imagine the world as you would like it to be."

"Unique is beautiful." Because everyone is beautiful in their own way, don't let anyone tell you different. Just because someone is a different shape, size, or color than you doesn't mean that they don't deserve to have self confidence as well. Give people around you reasons to make them think that they are beautiful. If you do that to others, it will make you feel good, and you'll realize that beauty is abundant - around you and within you. - Illusion

the moment of silence

silence is the typical reaction or silence isn't my typical fare - i'll figure it out myself!

*someone used to say - if a writer is willing to work and revise as well as take criticism and advice, she has a better chance of being successful. plus, she's got to write, not just "talk the talk." the earlier u start, the more practice u get... and practice makes perfect!

as i sat in my room the other night thinking about what should i write on my blog - *start jotting notes* ..
i looked around - outside my window i see: a pigeon singing sitting on a wire, flowers from neighbour's garden. hmm..hoping the flowers would soften the stories in my newspaper: war, famine, drought, economic collapse, child abuse and ect..ect..

looking around again. nothing moved but my 3 little cute hamsters and i know hamsters can’t talk. huhu! suddenly my mind starts pumping.

all my life, i've had a very vivid imagination. when I'm stuck in a novel or any types of reading materials, whether it is the i usually tend to turn to story generators or write something (anything) to get my imagination flowing again.

during my years in secondary school, i wrote a lot of stories down *start a scrapbook* the result? many nonsense stories - but at least they're stories - i used to laugh at the stories i wrote.

but i used to stopped writing numerous times..no matter what happens, i am really serious about my writing. it's for fun as well as sanity purposes.i believe that writing without emotion isn't good writing at all. every type of writing - whether it is personal, fiction, poetry, fantasy, journalism or ..etc etc .. - needs some sort of feeling.

success is almost everyone's goal in life. no matter what it takes to get there, it's what we all want. for me, i'll be successful as long as i have a source of income and i'm writing. that's my dream to keep writing. and we all need dreams for inspiration, no matter what age.

Let's enjoy a bit 'o pondering.

Why do u love short stories? Maybe because they tend to be more concise & to the point than longer works? Well, perhaps are also helpful for those who do not usually have the patience to finish a more than 100 page fiction. Huhu!

This morning a friend of mine (Adila) sent me an e-mail (regarding short story writing & advice from a creative writing tutor) and I must say...so here it is! *let us ponder this story*

USED vs LOVED

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 year old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father (with painful eyes) he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.

Devastated by his own actions - sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life & remember this: Things are to be used and people are to be loved.

The problem in today's world is that people are used while things are loved. Let's try always to keep this thought in mind: "Things are to be used. People are to be loved."

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny..

I hope u have a good day no matter what problems u may face it's the only day you'll have before it's over.

Dream dream dream!

"All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream!" - Edgar Allen Poe

Do u dream about horses? I know I do & seriously, this is my first time. I just had a horse dream last night! And it's a white horse.

It's early morning & it's beautiful, the weather is so amazing. In my dream, I was standing near ancient big tree. A horse came along side of me. I knew this horse & it knew me. As the horse brushed onlong side of me. I put my hand out & ran it alongside of it’s main, coat & tail. The horse was walk very slowly & started to walk away. I grabed it’s tail & spoke to it & told it to stop but it just looked back at me slowly pulling me along.
So I ran alongside of the horse grabed it’s main & mounted it bareback. This is what the horse wanted - it wanted to play to run!

Sight, sound, texture & everything was so very real. I have never had a dream this real that was possitive. Oh yes, as I mentioned I awoke from the dream very happy to have experienced it & frankly can’t seem to stop thinking about it! :-)
Well, its just a dream, u never know what if tommorow.. only God.

Sick Days - am still having em'

I'm using this "found time" with writing stuff I'm passionate about. Haha! Hmm.. So, what shall I write about? Hmm.. Oh ya, guess what?

I hate phlegm, flu & coughing. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! I hate when starting to feel a miserable cold coming on.

I hate being sick .... I hate having the flu & I hate coughing.. hate colds..hate fever. *Well, nobody wants to get sick.* .. I feel awful & I can't stop coughing my head off. Last weekend, I cant sleep. I don't know what to do. Early in the afternoon, I've taken medicine & slept from 3pm ++ until 7.30pm. And it isn't helping & I am miserable. I ate tons of fruit & veggies & drank water & took my vitamins.

I have been unwell since last Monday (Dec 28th, 2009). Yep, that's right. The worst part of all, it's now Monday again. Haha! And I am still having flu & cough! If I want to get better, I know that I have to stay home & get all the rest I need. I just hope & pray that I'll get better soon. I have to, right?

When I try to breathe in it hurts & gets all itchy feeling. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest. Whatever it is, please get off, it is uncomfortable. I hate randomly waking up in the middle of the night with coughing fits. I hate that I've been coughing so much that my throat is raw & my sides hurt. I hate how it f***s with my voice & makes me sound like I'm crying.

Being all stuffed up, coughing your head off (or at least until u hope it falls off) & having a minor-soar throat is not fun in the slightest. I know that I may be a big baby complaining about this because other people have the flue to blah blah blah. But still.

On top of being sick I have to clean - clean the room, I need to clean my hamsters cage & get laundry done. etc..ect..Yea...fun! Well, I had plans, things I wanted to get done.

I kind of feel like going to bed, curl up in a ball, pull the covers over & act like a bigger baby. Sigh! I miss my pillows. But too bad... I almost forgot, I have to work. Haha! Alright folks, I need to get back to work.

Anyway, have a great & healthy day everyone! *Smile*

Miloholic...Chocoholic!

I am a hot cocoa fanatic.

I'm going off topic a bit today. Let's talk drinks! What is your favorite drink & why?

I'm not sure what it is about hot milo that I love so much. It seems to me the perfect beverage: warm, creamy, milky & filled with lots of chocolate. What is there not to love about that? I have friends who prefer a latte or kopi O or a cup of tea. But u will never see me being unfaithful to my favorite drink. Whether I am at home or work or visiting with friends at local mamaks it is hot milo that I will always choose.

Sometimes the cold air gets to me & I just need my favorite cup of hot milo. I guess part of why I love hot milo so much is because it reminds me of my childhood. I have many fond memories of mom fixing me a cup of hot milo after a long day of playing outside.

As an adult I have continued to love hot milo just as much. I love coming home from a long day of work & stopping in the kitchen to make a perfect cup. *kita minum dulu!!!! melo paneh memang uuummmpphhh!!!*

Happy sipping! Happy drinking or what so ever u wanna call it. :-)

Bazaar keeps us awake@Shopping under the stars!

When u go shopping do u usually go for stuff (clothes, shoes, etc. ect..) with brands? Issit really necessary to wear stuff with brands? I have met people who are brand-conscious like they wouldn't even dare to wear anything that isn't branded. Is branded stuff really a big deal?
Frankly speaking, I rarely aim to buy anything branded. I buy brands only if I see it is worth the price. I'm not into brands (seriously)... I couldn't relate since I'm not into brands. Branded stuff are not a big deal.

But everyone has brands that they are passionate about. But to some people, they believe it maps to their lifestyle. SO .. are u a brand-conscious?? But not for me, i'm not into brand name stuff as much as a lot of people are these days.

Anyone who is too scared to go out wearing perfectly good clean clothes that aren't branded must be very insecure & probably needs their head examined. Huhu! *no offence ... kalau terase nasib lah* .. There's also little consideration for actual style. Someone can look very good in something that isn't branded & look like the world's worst fashion victim in something that is. As long as one can look good in what he or she wears or feel comfortable - it doesn't matter if it's branded or not.

Alright... here's my story & I'm stickin' to it!

Who goes shopping after midnight??? Well, I do :-)
Most people would go about their activities in the daytime & only reserve the night for food & entertainment. How about a different routine for a change? Avoid the hassles of parking & overcrowded malls by visiting your friendly neighbourhood flea markets, pasar malams or night bazaars. Witness the streets come alive at night as u bargain your way through everything from food to cellphone accessories & even automobiles!

Try going to the night bazaars at Danau Kota where the action only intensifies after midnight. U’ll be surprised as to what u could find at the place.

Quite a few, apparently, judging from the bustling Danau Kota midnight bazaar which operates daily (till the wee hours of the morning - 3am the latest) except on Thursdays (I guess).
Guess what, the pixs below, I bought it from the bazaar.

p/s: but we have to admit, almost majority of us crave for signature brands once in awhile. Also, sometimes, the branded ones are the ones with great quality & durability. But I would not spend a fortune just to brag about how my things, clothes, shoes are branded...for me brands are just names.
